Two Weeks of Battery, and a Few Fixes You Asked For - Update v.1.2

What's New in the Latest Habity Update

We're continuing to build the calm, phone-free Habity bedside clock — and this release is the biggest one yet.

When Habity first shipped, we set out to make the bedside clock that helps you put your phone down and sleep better. Since then, you've told us exactly where the experience could be better: menus that took too many taps, a battery that didn't last as long as you'd like, alarms that were finicky to adjust. We read every comment, every post, every message — and today's update is our answer to all of it.

Here's what's new ✨

Faster, simpler navigation

We've redesigned the menus from the ground up, so getting around your clock is quicker and more intuitive.

If you've ever needed to shift your alarm time night to night, earlier for a workout, later on weekends — this update was built with exactly that in mind.

The old menu buried the alarm settings behind a few too many steps. Not anymore. Changing your alarm time or swapping the sound is now just two clicks away.

Battery life, dramatically improved

This is the one we're most excited about: battery life has jumped from 2–3 days to almost two weeks on a single charge.

We've always called it a "backup battery" for a reason. A lot of alarm clocks on the market don't have one at all — so a power blip resets your alarm and you oversleep. Not great when you're relying on it to wake you up. From day one, we built Habity with an internal battery to prevent exactly that, and our original goal was modest: get you through a day or two of a power outage.

With this update, we've squeezed a lot more out of Habity's low-power e-paper display — quietly, in the background, without you having to do anything differently. The result is a clock that can go nearly two weeks without a charge and still get you up on time.

A few more improvements

  • E-paper display improvements.
  • A custom Philips Hue sunrise scene that gently shifts through the colors of dawn as your alarm approaches — for an even gentler wake-up.
  • Cancel a snooze. Just double-press the stop button.
  • General stability improvements, including fixes for the bugs and glitches some of you ran into with earlier firmware.

Available for every Habity clock ever shipped

Whether you bought your Habity on day one or last week, this update is for you. It's free, and it's available today.

How to update your clock

Updating takes under two minutes. Follow our short guide and you'll be up to date in no time.

Note for bedside clocks running v1.1.1 or earlier
The new update has a chance of leaving your e-paper display faded in contrast for 1-3 days. It's natural for e-paper to react this way when introduced to bigger updates like this is.
